I have recently started reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. The reason I started to read this book was because I have heard that Dan Brown is a vary intriguing author who writes even more intriguing novels. Other notable books Dan Brown has written include Inferno, Angels and Demons, and The Lost Symbol.
The Da Vinci Code has become one of the best selling novels of all time, and many of his other novels have become best-sellers as well. His novels all have similar backdrops of the play between science and religion, which is why his novels spark intellectual debate and controversy, but is also what makes them so interesting. A reason his novels may all have this recurring theme is because of his background, with a mathematics teacher for a father, and a church organist for a mother.

The Da Vinci Code has caused Dan Brown to become one of TIME Magazine's 100 most influencial people of all time from the 2005 version. His books have caused increased interest in secret societies, Christian history, and increased tourism in Paris and Rome. (Paris is the setting of the beginning of the book)
Such intriguing books can only be written by someone equally intelligent and intriguing, and Dan Brown definitely is.
