Summer. The New Forest. A child alone in a holiday caravan. When her parents return, she’s gone.
Two years later the Barbers are still searching for their daughter. But are they faking? The police say yes. Likewise a dangerous vigilante. If the law can’t touch the “Killer Couple” then he’ll bring justice his own way.
Investigator Eddie Flynn steps in to protect the Barbers and to search for their child.
But it’s not only the vigilante Flynn must battle. He’s in a race with the tabloids to get to the truth about the missing child.
And the more Flynn unearths, the more he senses that his clients are hiding an unpalatable truth.
Eddie Flynn, the irrepressible P.I. from Behind Closed Doors is back – on another job he should never have touched.
The Devil’s Snare is a book that I kept looking at for a week before I picked it up. I didn’t know what to expect and if I am completely honest I thought that I would read a few chapters and put it down again.
I have just finished after 8 hours of solid reading happy to say that this is one of the BEST novels I have read this year. You as a reader will not be disappointed.
The novel is the story of Stuart and Elaine. whose daughter went missing over a year ago. At the beginning, the story will have you thinking of another high profiled case as the similarities in this tale are, I think, close in facts. However as the tale continues and moves in the direction that it does, it is brilliantly absorbing.
I had no clue as to what the outcome would be, as it weaves with its characters a full and detailed account of child abduction, murder and blackmail that will leave the reader shocked and thrilled by the intensity of the writing.
It is an action packed second novel that moves at a comfortable pace and holds the readers interest, it is escapism at it’s best.
You need to read this book when you know you are not going to be disturbed.
Eddie Flynn P.I. is a force to be reckoned with.
